Getting a dumpster rental for the first time can feel a little daunting. We get a variety of questions from new customers, but the one we get the most is how much a bin rental costs.
When it comes to pricing, we keep things simple. Your bin rental fee includes delivery, placement, pickup, and dumping. However, getting the right size for your project will ensure you only pay for what you require.
Here are 4 factors to consider to ensure you get the right bin for the job and your budget.
Whether you’re moving, renovating, or doing some spring cleaning, dumpster bins are ideal for garbage removal. We offer our clients a wide range of bin sizes so that you get the one that fits your project. We have driveway-friendly bins ranging from 5 to 25 yards. We generally suggest getting one size bigger than you think you’ll need. Why? It can be as little as $15 more to opt for a larger bin. This gives you wiggle room if you have more than you initially thought and is more economical than ordering a second bin. Going one size up is better than not having enough.
How long you have the bin matters. All of our standard prices are for a week-long rental, but if the quicker you fill, the more you save. We offer discounts like our 3-day special. If you plan ahead to have the bin arrive when you are cleaning, moving, or demolishing, you can save by being more efficient.
Get as much of the work done as possible before the bin arrives. This will allow you to get the garbage, junk, and debris in the bin soon after it arrives, helping to shorten the length of your rental—saving you money.
What you put in the bin is up to you. Wood, siding, drywall, yard waste, carpeting, wire, foam, flooring, roofing materials, and even small appliances all go into the bin. However, you will want to be mindful of weight.
Our rental price includes waste removal and disposal. This covers one tonne of trash (approximately 2000 lbs). If you have ever dropped items off at the dump, you know that they measure the weight of what you are dropping off and charge you accordingly. If your project involves heavy items, that’s okay, but it could add a little extra to your final bill. Each additional tonne adds $110 to the cost, but is prorated.
Other factors could increase the cost of your bin rental, such as extending the rental for extra days and including hazardous materials, as they come with additional landfill fees.
Also, if you can’t place the bin on your property, you may require a permit for a dumpster placed on the street or public property, which comes with a fee from your municipality.
Dumpster rental shouldn’t break your budget, especially if you consider all the factors that influence the price of a bin rental. If you still have questions, contact us today to ensure that you get the right size to help minimize the cost.
